Rep. Shirley Hankins is abusing the power of her office to help her daughter’s business. The pattern of abuse is well-documented in a story released today in the Tri-City Herald.
She is under investigation by the state legislative ethics committee but the investigative reporting by the Tri-City Herald shows a clear pattern of favoritism and cronyism toward her daughter’s tire business.
The papers in the region should call for her resignation. And, of course, the only honorable thing for her to do……resign.
