to see if Rep. Shirley Hankins (R-Richland) does the honorable thing and resigns from public office for using her position to enrich her family.
Let’s check in on our other Central Washington legislators:
Rep. Mary Skinner (R-Yakima) is still trying to give money to a poet.
Rep. Judy Warnick (R-Moses Lake) is still getting tough on copper wire thieves.
Rep. Charles Ross (R-Naches) may get a vote on the floor on a anti-stalking bill.
That’s it. We pay 15 legislators $40,000 a year (that’s $600,000) and so far we may get a poet, fewer copper thieves and less stalking. I don’t know about you but I’m feeling a little ripped off.
UPDATE: We just got wind of this gem of a bill from Sen. Janea Holmquist (R-Moses Lake): http://www.horsesass.org/?p=2612
Now, I feel even more cheated. Sigh.
