Republican Presidential Nominee John McCain is one of the first Presidential candidates to show up in Washington. He will go to a luncheon and get the endorsement of Attorney General Rob McKenna.
The question is: Will any Presidential contenders make it to Central Washington between now and the first contest in Iowa, Nevada and New Hampshire? I know Bill Richardson came to Yakima last summer but will there be any more?
PS I can’t imagine McCain or any of the other Republican nominees rushing to get failed ethics chair Doc Hastings endorsement. It was impressive the way Doc could look the other way while the DeLay scandal, the Foley scandal and the Abramoff scandal all raged in the last year. It was such an impressive debacle that I can’t imagine any Presidential contender getting anywhere near Doc. Like always, we’ll keep watching….
