The Yakima Herald does a story on Doc Hastings taking heat yesterday at a town meeting for his stance on immigration reform. I’m guessing that since Doc was saying people have to understand that the Yakima Valley depends on a migrant work force, he was debating with the “Now that I’m in America, close the door behind me” crowd. It would be great if the Herald would’ve interviewed some of these people.
Did any of you Yakima Democrats go? Not that I’m blaming you if you didn’t. I would be hardpressed to sit through Doc Hasting’s packaged PR version of a town meeting.
