We’ve had a heated discussion on our blog about the cause of high gas prices. You can read some of the comments here.
It seems like the people of Moses Lake have it figured out. The Columbia Basin-Herald (the paper of record for Moses Lake) has an on-line poll asking, “Why are gas prices so high this time? The answer choices are: 1) Corporate profits 2) Deterioriating machinery 3) Lack of pipelines 4) Oil supply shortages 5) Oil market prices and, finally 6) War in the middle east.
72% of the people of Moses Lake believe it’s corporate profits driving up oil prices.
Now, I know some of you will want to call the people of Moses Lake a bunch of socialists but if I remember correctly they voted for George Bush with over 60% of the vote.
