Never say politics is dull. Just looking at some of the candidates for Yakima’s City Council proves that there are a bunch of loonies out there.
Neil McClure has someone running against him who thinks that he can win on his only plan: Fire Dick Zais. He figures he can win and then after Zais is fired he can resign from the council. This guy isn’t playing with a full deck!
Then we have Ron Bonlender’s opponet, Maude Scott, Community Activist. Just what does a community activist do? If the pay is good maybe some more of us can get on that band wagon.
Maude has one big issue, the Ida Powell House. Some of my Republican friends(yes, I do have a few) wonder if there has ever been an accounting of all the money she has gotten to work on it. She has received money from and through the city, but you cannot see that anything has been done. It has been several years since she has been collecting money and nothing shows.
