Our own Congressmember Doc Hastings decided to take a shot at the Governor in a press release a couple days ago over support for the Kittitas Wind Project.
Doc pretended to be all up in arms over the decision because the Governor shouldn’t be overriding local governments.
The Governor didn’t let that one go by. It turns out that Doc had overridden local governments when he was pandering to special interests.
From the Tri-City Herald yesterday: “She noted the Energy Policy Act of 2005, which Hastings supported, pre-empted state authority in the siting of liquefied natural gas plants and transmission projects “so I understand and empathize with local government faced with federal or state action to preempt their decison.”
McCranium does a great job encapsulating all the Hastings hypocrisy. We applaud him because it is hard to keep up with all the hypocrisy, hyperbole, and dishonesty of Representative Hastings.
