He’s angry because Moveon.org asked in a full page newspaper ad whether General Petraeus was going to be straight with us.
He’s joined every other person reading the right wing playbook in the last week who’s been told to attack Moveon.org.
He’s a real sucker for that lowest common denominator rhetoric about respecting our military.
So, I have a question. Remember when our military didn’t have the body armor they needed? Remember when we found out about the shoddy conditions in Walter Reed?
That wasn’t respecting our military. That was treating our military in the worst way possible.
And Doc Hastings said nothing.
See, Doc….if you want to have any credibility attacking others for not respecting our military, you have to be, what’s the word for it……hmmm….
I think the word for it is: CONSISTENT!
Doc, you just look like a petty flak for the right wing spin machine. You are more interested in ideology than making sure we have a chance to protect this country from terrorists. You are hanging on to the last remaining vestiges of the rhetoric of the 1994 Republican Revolution and the Karl Rove playbook while the country is ready for some answers.
Next time, don’t send out a press release. Just put a copy of the right wing playbook on your website and say this is what they are telling me to say so here it is.
