I was sitting here on another beautiful fall day in Central Washington thinking, ya know, maybe things aren’t so bad and I shouldn’t pick on Republicans so much.
Unfortunately, I was wrong.
I got an email from the Children’s Alliance with a scorecard outlining how legislators vote when it comes to issues affecting children. I opened it and started looking for Central Washington legislators.
I have in the past half-jokingly said that some of our legislators hate kids. It looks like I may have been more right than I knew.
Only one legislator from Central Washington scores higher than 60%. Unfortunately, he (Jim Clements) was just defeated in a special election last month.
That means every legislator from Central Washington receives a failing grade when it comes to supporting kids.
