According to the Tri-City Herald: “Washington’s overachieving economy has swollen the state’s budget surplus to more than $1.5 billion.
The state’s Revenue Forecast Council reported Friday that recent tax collections and higher expectations for collections to come have added $282 million to the state’s bottom line.”
