After extensive review, the Governor has approved the Kittitas Valley Wind Project. Now, you can bet we are going to hear from the GOP that the Governor didn’t listen to the locals from people who are more interested in attacking the governor than the facts. They are wrong.
First, there have many, many hearings on this project in Kittitas County. Second, there are many supporters of the wind project in Kittitas County. Third, there have many westsiders who don’t want windmills interfering with their view from their weekend cabins weighing in on the debat.
I’m guessing this will become a campaign issue if the Forward Washington Dino Rossi Campaign ever gets into gear. I’m also guessing that the rhetoric from Republicans will generate more heat than light.
