The Yakima Herald takes a look at the ethical nature of blogging. It focuses on a right-wing blog called “Inside Yakima”, which has become a mouthpiece for Rick Ensey. Ensey is running against Ron Bonlender.
The ethical question comes because the paper suspects that Diane Ensey (Rick’s wife) is the blogger who writes most of the blog entries.
The most ethically-challenged post on the blog is one where they claim there are rumors of a Bonlender DUI but then have no way to back it up.
So, here’s what I propose. Rick Ensey should disown the trash and false rumors and accusations on the “Inside Yakima” blog. He should either tell us it’s a mouthpiece of the campaign and he’s responsible for the trash on it or he should disown it.
