Kudos to Yakima city council member Bill Lover for actually being for something!! He “wholeheartedly endorses” The $700,000 art project for the Lincoln Ave and MLK railroad underpasses. He says, “it’s a project that deserves some art.” Could he be morphing into a more rational councilmember? Lover often votes “yes” for something that has unanimous support then speaks out against the issue or he starts out being negative on a topic but ends up voting “yes”.
In the case of the “Bins of Light” artwork which the council has unanimously approved, Mr. Lover has spoken positively before his “yes” vote and positively about it after the vote! That kind of consistency and clarity should be carried forward. Good job, Bill. Stand up and be counted and don’t try and have everything both ways.
