One of the bloggers makes a great point about the Republicans. Ever since David Stockman took on the job at OMB under Reagan, the GOP has a proclivity to engage in something the bloggers call “Fantasy Math”.
Stockman was the supply side guy who thought you could balance the federal budget with massive tax cuts. That “Fantasy Math” was the start of some huge budget deficits that were brought under check by Clinton but brought to new and more dangerous heights by the worst President in the history of the United States (yes, I mean George W. “Mission Accomplished” Bush.
I bring up the “Fantasy Math” concept because Dino Rossi is doing a stupendous job continuing the GOP tradition of “Fantasy Math”. There is CLEARLY no way the math adds up! Somehow Rossi is expanding projects with less money. At the same time, he is raiding the general fund which will mean less money for things like education.
