Conservatives – They can’t handle the truth

Jack Nickolson’s line from the great movie “A Few Good Men” comes to mind when listening to the spin on President Bush’s former Press Secretary, Scott McClellan’s revelations in his new book, “What Happened inside the White House”. Even local radio station KUSA, while trying to keep Bush at arm’s length are on full spin control. They act as if everyone on the planet believed the Bush hype in the buildup to the war in Iraq. After ignoring any and all counter points of professional assessments about the so called WMD the conservative machine steamrolled ahead, waving the flag, intimidating the media and misleading the American public and now as more truth comes out they resort to bashing the truth teller. McClellan’s assertions in his book merely reinforces what 70% of the country already knows – that Bush lied. The fact is they “can’t handle the truth!”
