McCranium reports on calls for an examination of taxpayer dollars paying for a European junket in 2003. The junket came to light because of a romantic tryst between Rep. Vito Fossella from New York and official escort for the trip, Laura Fey.
How does Hastings fit into this?
Well, he was on the same junket. The Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington who are calling for the investigation are also calling for Doc Hastings to recuse himself because he was on the same trip. There are reports that the other passengers could obviously tell their was impropriety going on but ignored it.
