It looks like Chris Mulick, the writer of Olympia Dispatch for the Tri-City Herald is calling it quits.
He adds his name to a growing list of respected political journalists in Washington State who have left in the middle of one of our most important election years ever. (David Ammons, AP; David Postman; Seattle Times; Gregg Herrington, Vancouver Columbian).
Chris did a great job of covering politics in the Tri-Cities but he was also one of the few reporters who understood how the little details mattered. He did a great job in his blog of paying attention to who was contributing to who, who made an important off hand comment and who said something they shouldn’t have said.
It’s disappointing to see these reporters go. Oh, on the plus side, Chris is joining the Senate Democratic Caucus as a public information officer.
So, welcome to the Democratic Party, Chris!
