Due to Micah Cawley’s lack of business sense and his philosophical disabilities, the Yakima City Council Budget Committee wasted almost 2 hours of valuable staff time and ended up further away from meaningful discussions than they have ever been. Unfortunately for the citizens of Yakima, Micah is the chair of this committee! He does not know what a budget is, doesn’t understand how and when reserves are used (if needed), doesn’t understand and appears to be incapable of learning why costs increase and on and on and on. Micah should not run for re-election this year; he should go back to school and get an education. His bias against city manager Dick Zais is clearly evident in the March 10, 2009 meeting. The problem Micah has is that if we had a new city manager, like he wants, he would still not have the capacity to understand budgets.
YPAC is supposed to have these committee meetings available on the Internet. Some of the committee meetings are ready now but this particular meeting is not. If they get this one to the Internet, I’ll provide the link so you can see for yourself why this meeting never gets off the treadmill.
