A few blogs ago I pointed out Budget committee Chair; Councilmember, Micah Cawley’s lack of understanding of what budgets are and how to use them. Here is the video of that meeting. (Scroll down to 4:30 am & click on view meeting) I’ve had trouble with it on a MAC but it will play. You may have to view the whole thing if the slider bar won’t work. The first 20 some minutes do not apply, but the next hour or so is the interesting part.

Making council committee meetings available to view on the internet is new for YPAC. It’s a great feature for keeping participants accountable. You can go to the City of Yakima website, click on YPAC schedule in the left margin, then select a committee meeting to view. This will be a valuable tool in the future.
