Tea baggers want to sack health care

The Tea baggers have lost their momentum on protesting raising taxes as they are having a tough time finding tax increases to protest against. With the majority of them being from the party of NO (spelled GOP), they have turned their negativity to health care reform. They claim to be conservatives figuring that if you are against everything you can claim to be conservative and like the local Republican leaders and several elected officials, they believe the more things you are against, the more conservative you are! (Hence, Bill Lover’s claim that he is the most conservative member of the Yakima City Council).

The tea baggers, the Republican Party, and the right wing nuts have all lost their way. They are for NOTHING and against everything. When they are in power they prove their claim that government is inefficient and can’t do anything. Apparently, they don’t want to be included in the solutions to a real health care crisis and would rather be bomb throwers. I’ll bet many of the protesters at Senator Patty Murray’s office on Friday will wrap themselves in the American flag as they demonize those that are trying to make a difference in our lives. These phony patriotic people champion misinformation and promote fear. True patriots do not engage in such tactics.

    Mr. Bonlender,

Earlier, you wrote about Bruce Smith’s “lies” and “distortions” -

I asked that you provide 10 examples — I then moved it to 5 and now to 3.

    3 examples, 3 times

Come on, Mr. Bonlender, can’t you back up what you said?

And if you can’t, what’s that say about you?

  2. stir stick says:

I wonder what type of health care plan if any, I would get if I worked at one of Rons mininun wage pay subshops,

Is this why you are on the soap box, so that you can sleep better at night knowing everybody has to chip in so you dont have to provide healtcare for your workers.

  3. mainstreeter says:

I don’t see any young, or people of color at these town hall events. It seems to be a bunch of old, white folk telling the rest of us what “we” need.

  4. Tim Eyman says:

    Mr. Bonlender,

How ’bout 1? just 1. you wrote about Bruce Smith’s “lies” and “distortions”, making it sound like you had hundreds of examples.

I thought 10 would be pretty easy.

When you couldn’t come up with 10, I went to 5, compromised down to 3, and now we’re down to 1.

Just one, just one “lie” or “distortion” to back up your claim – a single example.

Did you really think or anticipate someone asking you to back it up?

Wouldn’t most people find your unwillingness to substantiate your position cowardly and juvenile?

  5. corie says:

Is that the real Timmy Eyeman, Mukilteo watch seller? Tim, how is Joe Fuiten these days???

Ron, I find it sort of ironic that the man who shows up at the Legislature in Olympia dressed as Darth Vader is worried about you coming across as “juvenile.”

    Well, that answered my question.

    stick-
Small businesses across the nation have been finding it impossible to cover their employees with healthcare insurance because your party proposed a “profits over people” philosophy in the 80s. This meant raising premiums to levels that neither those “mom ‘n’ pop” businesses nor their lower-wage employees could afford. But it also meant that those same insurance carriers began denying care to vicitms of catastrophic illnesses, and virtually anyone with a pre-existing condition. Less care + tripled premiums = huge profits. In the America that your party wants to see, only the healthcare industry profits are healthy, and the patients they promised to look after are deteriorating.

When you see the increasing number of bankruptcies due to medical debt in the U.S. reach record numbers, and the 49 million fellow Americans that cannot afford health insurance, and the tens of millions more that are paying triple and quadruple the premiums of just 5 years ago while getting less care, does this make you proud to support the cons agenda?

Isn’t it pathetic that a former elected official can’t substantiate his claim?

  10. seagal says:

Gee, I thought this was a blog entry on healthcare – not the Eyman, sole defender of BS, badgering Bonlender. Don’t you have your own blog to rail on about anything you want, Mr.Eyman?

  11. Ron Stevens says:

Timmy;a person with a pretty light blue
shirt and shiny badge, would like to see you…again.

  13. Ron Stevens says:

    What about your lies Eyman;you
claimed you were working for free, when you was working on I-745;not only was that a lie,you had paid yourself $50,000.
Shame on you for trying to gain politically and financially, while
    potraying yourself as altruistic.

  14. Ron Stevens says:

What about another of your dishonest
moments;you claimed you wanted to read your letter in support of councilman Ensey, only to take a swipe at Bonlender;because of your rant, which was against council rules, you were tossed;if you had had
intestinal fortitude, you would revealed your intent, instead of wasting the citizen’ time,in your
cheapshot and advocacy of a person who legally was held accountable for defamation.

  15. corie says:

Its not Timmy…just a troll who likes to see his words on the screen.

  16. mainstreeter says:

Indeed, we’ll see more of this from the vanquished right.

  17. Jason says:

    Ronnie
let me quote someone from your own party…”I’m sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we’re Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration.”
    - Hillary Clinton-
by your own admission you are saying that YOU are not a true patriot, because after reading many of your blogs, you are the king of misinformation and fear mongering.
here is another one from Mrs. Clinton “God bless the America we are trying to create”, doesn’t she want the America that exists now to be blessed? Where is the patriotism in that?

  18. Drew says:

Where is the patriotism in denying 50 million Americans access to affordable healthcare? In a land that says it believes in and protects democracy, where do the cons get off suggesting that some Americans just aren’t as worthy to receive medical treatment based on income?
Stevens, the “eyman” posting on here is likely a local troll and cult follower of that promoter/importer of Chinese watches from Puget Sound, and is still waiting for the republican party to issue him a better name.

  19. Drew says:

One more thing, Ron; you were spot-on to mention Eyman’s siphoning off $50K for himself and getting caught. It’s really important for us to keep exposing these cons with their own hypocracy whenever they resurface. Thanks.

  20. Jason says:

    lets talk about “hypocracy”…
Obama said he would not have lobbyists in his administration, a tax cheat is in charge of the IRS,Barney Frank(who helped create the housing crisis) is in charge of getting us out of it. republicans that have extra-marital affairs are forced to resign from office but democrats that do the same are promoted to high positions, we can’t drill for oil because it is “bad for the environment”, but we are giving Brazil $2 billion for oil exploration. you guys were upset about how much bush was spending, now Obama is spending many trillions of dollars more and you are happy about it. Almost $12 trillion in national debt! NOW THAT IS HYPOCRICY!!
