A glimpse of PDC reporting among candidates shows that Dave Ettl, candidate for Yakima City Council position #5 has been granted a change in reporting from mini to full reporting on September 24th. Well that’s not unusual for candidates to switch when they realize they need to raise and spend serious money to get elected. What is unusual is the fact that Ettl has not filed a single report since September 24th!! He has missed 2 critical C-4’s and has not filed any C-3’s since Sept 24th.
Now one might say that he’s not getting any donations and he’s not spending any money in his campaign. But when his TV commercials are running and airplane billboard is running you know he is spending money. That is what the C-3’s and C-4’s are for. That’s what public disclosure is all about. Transparency.
This is not a small little slipup by a naïve campaigner. He is surrounded by people who know the rules, but for some reason he does not see a need to play by them. What are you hiding, Dave?
Are we really surprised. E makes his own rules. Remember the Derringer. Remember the comments about journalism and how it is manipulated by his version of crowd control. Ettl really believes the world is his to massage according to his own egomania. Just watch.
So sue him too and quit whining about it.
