Xenophobia is corrosion of the brain stem. Stereotypic finger pointing characterizes the weighty albatross dangling around one’s own neck. Happiness is far better seized by lifting all boats rather than breaking the oars on the ones you imagine being out of cultural sync.
Is it the no-need-for-a-tanning-salon beautiful brown skin? A foreign tongue (after all they might be talking about you.) Their unwillingness to knuckle under to your non-stop racial slurs? As he, with effulgence, pointed out, “unless you are a Native American–First Person–you are an immigrant.”
Love is our immaculate responsibility. We are not responsible to arrogance, an exaggerated sense of one’s own importance, wealth or withholding a leg up to others. We are kin. You will feel so much better when you get over it.
