The essence of democracy is discussion and selection of the best way via cooperation and compromise. Throughout this democratic process, gizmo, john.wyble, drew, go.cougs, cory, mainstreeter, andew, vicky Y, blue.yakimaniac, stir stick, seagal, stuneros, daveequaltimeettl, neal, blahblahblah, L.D. fan and Jason have added immeasurably to the core of this conversation. So the question is, at this turning point in history, where are those good minds now?
Stop No-Background-Check Gun Shows
Whoop
Every day is a “turning point in history”,,,but I am inclined to agree on the background check thing.
There are pros and cons to most all things.
I am not in favor of a list of names of persons that purchase arms, although I have had to give mine for the weapons I have purchased.
They can run their checks and when you come up okay delete whatever trail there might be.
This government, nor any other, needs a list of doors to knock on.
Then you have the fiasco, idiotic plan this idiotic government had.How freaking stupid letting known smugglers purchase weapons.
Sorry,,I’m starting to babble…………..
LD, you have every right to babble. Whoever thought up that “give guns to known criminals,” is a freaking numbskull.
Im here Whoop..just read of Ron’s passing. How very sad!!! Yakima has lost a great advocate for its citizens, whether most in town know it or not.
Teaching keeps me busy and I have been busy with Occupying (several places) and working on education issues. Frustrating at times, but worth it in the long run.
I will try to visit more often
Glad to see you Corie. You have been one of the sensible responders to the blog. I highly respect your education work. I know how busy teaching can be, I can barely do two days a week in the Yakima School District. I’ve done a lot of things, but teaching
is the best thing I have ever done.
Yes, so sad to hear of Ron Bonlender’s passing. He was a dear friend and super-energetic political thinker. We will miss him dearly, and Kathi needs support now. Whoopeedo
